What is Fabletics?

Fabletics is a global active-lifestyle brand that markets both male and female sportswear, footwear and accessories commonly referred to as active wear.

Fabletics was launched in 2013 and was co-founded by Adam Goldenberg, Ron Ressler, Ginger Ressler and Kate Hudson. In 2015 under the umbrella of Techstyle Fashion Group, Fabletics developed at an enormous pace making the brand its fastest-growing label.

The company used a marketing strategy of stocking goods according to the analysis of online trends in the location they are based in. The brand has 75 stores worldwide with 73 located in North America, a store in berlin which was its first non-US store and its first UK store which is located at London’s Regents street.

In the year 2020, Fabletics announced that it had surpassed 500 million dollars in annual revenue and has more than 2 million VIP members.     

Who are their investors and partners?

In 2017, Hudson was made an ambassador for Fashion Targets breast cancer with Fabletics partnering with the company to create a pink capsule collection to support breast cancer awareness. The month of May that same year saw them collaborate with Demi Lovato in support of the UN girl up campaign.

In the month of October 2018, Fabletics announced a partnership with Varsity Spirit, making the brand Varsity’s official activewear partner. As a part of this partnership deal, the brand launched pop-up shops at Varsity competitions in the US and extended its partnership with Varsity till 2024 October 2020.  

Originally, Fabletics started as a clothing brand for just women but in April 2020, the company expanded to men’s wear. The comedian Kelvin Hart came in as an investor and was also made the face of the new brand. In October Fabletics had a long-term partnership with Hydrow. As a part of this partnership, Fabletics VIP members can purchase a Hydrow at a member’s only price plus access to an accessory and gear package. Fabletics is also Hydrow’s official apparel partner.

In 2021 Tough Mudder chose Fabletics as its active lifestyle partner. In November, the brand began working with college athletes and tournaments to grow its men’s business. The brand also sponsored the Jacksonville Classic and announced that it is planning a partnership with individual NCAA players. The brand has also released capsules with some notable brands including Kelly Rowland, Maddie Ziegler, Madelaine Petsh and others.

How does it work?

Basically, you visit the website and follow the procedures to sign up and then fill out the style profile and add your payment details. Subscribe for monthly exclusive membership benefits. These benefits include a promotional member credit which unlocks their best savings when redeemed and free access to the Fabletics Fit app.

As a VIP member, how many items do you get from Fabletics?

Since you’ll be ordering your own stuff, you get to pick how many pieces you get monthly. But do well to watch out for the big push to get you to buy an entire outfit as you can buy individual components of the outfit separately.

How often do you get workout clothes with the VIP membership?

You can go to Fabletics as often as you want to buy things. As a VIP member, you get points and special pricing for all your purchases.

How do you skip the month with the Fabletics VIP Membership?

According to customers, Fabletics does not make it easy to do this but on the first of each month, a magic box appears that you can click on to skip the month. To find that box you have to go under my outfits tab.

Take Note; according to some customers, this route doesn’t work for some months. Instead of my outfit tab taking them to the skip option, it redirects them to their shopping page.

Some customers also said the fix sometimes is to clear your cache and browser history and try again and if it doesn’t work call their customer representative immediately to cancel your VIP membership.

How many times can you skip months with the Fabletics VIP membership?

According to Fabletics, you can skip months as often as you like.

What’s the policy for cancellation of the VIP membership?

According to their website, you can either use chat or call to cancel your membership. But according to customers the faster approach to do this is by calls. Also. you’d be able to confirm if the membership has been cancelled.

What kind of apparel does Fabletics have?

The brand sells every kind of athleisure wear you can think of ranging from tops, sports bras, jackets/pullovers, tights, joggers, shorts, socks, panties, shoes and even accessories like gym bags and headbands.

What are the brands at Fabletics?

This is the aspect in which they stand out because, unlike other apparel memberships, Fabletics only sell their own brand of clothing.

What are the size ranges of the clothing?

Fabletics offers an awesome range of sizes.

How much do these clothes cost?

Compared to other clothing brands you don’t overpay for the quality of a product. Getting that out of the way the brand has three price ranges.

  • There is a price for the current VIP members.
  • A discounted price for people who aren’t VIP members yet but are signed up and in the process of buying for VIP membership
  • Then the full price.

Customers’ experiences with the clothing apparel (What customers say)

The Tights

PROS: Beautiful and vibrant colours                                               

CONS: long crotch, thick fabric (this can also be a pro sometimes)

Sport Bras

Some customers complained that the sports bras are stiff, not all that comfortable and the sizes are not perfect. Customers also complained about areas of gaping when they move during workouts.

Joggers

Customers praised this product as it was very comfortable and spot on for its size.

Panties

Customers commended the brand for their panties as they said it was very comfortable.

Shirts

Some customers complained that the shirts are too exposed for them to wear especially to children’s functions.

How is the customer service?

This area has had its debates as many customers actually commend their customer service team and many others complain about the team, so we will have to put out the customer service as neutral as the number of complaints equals the number of appraisals.

Although some customers have complained recently about not being able to sign in to their accounts making them not able to skip their monthly subscription. One user said when he called customer care the customer care representative said he’ll send an email to rectify it but never did, but when she used the live chat option it was rectified immediately.

The major problem customers said they have with the brand is the delay in shipping as it happens very frequently.
